Brawl Arena is now available both on our private server and in the official version of Brawl Stars. However, since there is little detailed information about it, we decided to break down the key mechanics, stats, and even some discovered bugs.
Development Insights
While adapting this new MOBA-inspired mode for our server, we had to rely primarily on sneak peeks and leaks. We collected everything we could find across the internet, analyzed it, and used it during development. Thanks to this proactive approach, we managed to launch the mode a few days earlier than it became available on the official servers — and we must say, the result turned out quite well.
Jackie Bug in Brawl Arena
An interesting bug was discovered in Brawl Arena involving Jacky and her gadget. Here’s what happened:
Each map in the game is described using a text-based tile layout where characters represent different objects — such as walls, bushes, bases, towers, and more. For towers in Brawl Arena, the following symbols were used:
- + — towers for the blue team
- – — towers for the red team
However, there’s a catch: the – symbol had already been reserved in the game to denote temporary or dynamic objects, like Sprout’s or Rosa’s bushes, which appear only during battle. Most likely, – was used as a placeholder to indicate the absence of a defined tile.
As a result, when these placeholder blocks (-) are placed on a map, they are not filtered out correctly and end up spawning in the same locations as red team towers.
Why is this not immediately visible?
These blocks, like Sprout’s bushes, automatically disappear after a few seconds. That’s why players typically don’t notice them — they vanish before teams reach the towers.
However, Jacky’s gadget, which restores destroyed tiles, brings these buggy placeholder blocks back — right where red towers should be — resulting in both a visual and functional glitch.

Experience Levels
This table displays the total experience required to reach each level. As the level increases, so does the XP requirement. The maximum level is reached at 2700 XP. Use this chart to track your progress and plan your brawler upgrades effectively.
Target | XP |
Base Robot (Regular) | 35¹ |
Base Robot (Elite) | 75¹ |
Center Robot | 120¹ |
Center Boss | 250 |
Enemy Tower | 250¹ |
Enemy Brawler | 40 – 400² |
Experience from Eliminations
The following table outlines how much experience your team earns for eliminating various targets in Brawl Arena.
Target | XP |
Base Robot (Regular) | 35¹ |
Base Robot (Elite) | 75¹ |
Center Robot | 120¹ |
Center Boss | 250 |
Enemy Tower | 250¹ |
Enemy Brawler | 40 – 400² |
Note:
¹ XP is divided among all living teammates who:
- are within ~11 tiles
- have not yet reached max level
² XP earned for defeating enemy brawlers depends on the level difference:
- Defeating a stronger opponent grants more XP
- Defeating a weaker one grants less
NPC / Bot Behavior
Various types of non-player characters (NPCs) influence the outcome of battles in Brawl Arena. Here’s how each type behaves:
Base Robots (Standard)
- Appear every 12.5 seconds near each team’s base
- Two types: melee and ranged
- Upgrade stats scale with the team’s overall level:
- +1200 HP
- +12 attack damage per level
Base Robots (Elite)
- Occasionally spawn instead of two standard robots
- Have higher base HP
- Receive the same scaling bonuses as standard robots
Center Robots
- Spawn in designated zones every 40 seconds
- Timer pauses if a robot is still present in the zone
- Base HP: 11,000, increasing by +2000 with each spawn
Boss Robot
- Spawns in the central zone every 75 seconds, starting after two waves of standard robots
- Grants a powerful buff to the entire team upon defeat:
- +30% shield
- +30% movement speed
- Duration: 65 seconds
