We’re starting preparations for the next major Null’s Brawl update, which will bring new content, fresh mechanics, and two brand-new Brawlers to the server. This is a large-scale update that affects battle logic and core server systems, so its implementation will take time and require step-by-step adaptation.
New Brawlers on Null’s Brawl
In the upcoming update, two new Brawlers with unique mechanics will be added to the server:
Pierce is a long-range Brawler with an unconventional reload system based on collecting ammo shells. His gameplay focuses on positioning, piercing shots, and bonus damage from his last ammo. To make Pierce work correctly on the private server, we’ll need to adapt his ammo mechanics and automatic attacks to Null’s Brawl’s battle logic.
Glowbert is a new-type support Brawler. He uses a beam that simultaneously heals allies and damages enemies, and his Super directly affects enemy behavior. This is a completely new support model, so we’ll be carefully adjusting how his abilities interact with other Brawlers and game modes.
Buffies — a New Enhancement System
One of the key features of the update is the Buffies system. These are special enhancements that can modify:
- Gadgets
- Star Powers
- Hypercharges
Each Brawler can equip up to three Buffies at the same time. For Null’s Brawl, this system requires significant reworking, as Buffies directly impact balance and core combat mechanics. We’ll be adapting them to the current server structure to ensure stable behavior and avoid conflicts.
New Content and Skins
The update also includes a large amount of new cosmetic content. New skins and visual elements will be added gradually, after verifying proper client and server compatibility.
Progression, Rewards, and the Shop
While the classic Brawl Pass system doesn’t play a decisive role on a private server, we will still update the related content:
- new reward types will be added;
- all familiar elements will remain available, including Starr Drops, boxes, shop items, and other content already present on the server.
New Game Modes
The update introduces new game modes, including Safe Blast and additional formats. These will be added to Null’s Brawl after the core update is adapted and battle and server stability have been fully tested.
Timeline and Update Stages
This is a major update that affects several key server systems, so the rollout will be gradual:
- client update;
- adaptation of the new Brawlers;
- implementation of the Buffies system;
- addition of new modes and content.
