Most likely, this will be the fastest update in the history of our server. Version 63 with the Subway Surfers collab has leaked online, and of course, we have already studied it.
For many, this may seem like great news, but in fact it isn’t. Every leak has strongly affected the game’s popularity, but this time something incredible happened. The entire update leaked online: information about new hypercharges, brawlers, and much more has appeared.
Null’s Brawl with Ziggy and Mina
The main question is — when will the update with the new mythic brawlers Mina and Ziggy be released? We will be able to answer this very soon: the official update is about to drop, and we already have preliminary data on these characters. We have adapted them to our battle logic and are now studying other data. Since the leaked build is from the Chinese version of the game, we cannot release a new version at the moment, as it does not include new languages. We need to wait for the update for our region, and then we will be able to quickly add it to our server.
The update will include many innovations, as well as the Subway Surf collaboration. Naturally, we will add all skins and theming from the new season. Also, along with the new collaboration, new crates will be introduced: they will be temporary, but most likely we will keep them, just like the old ones, and they will remain available in the shop. Don’t forget that in the shop you can level up your account, unlock characters, upgrade them, and get updated content such as skins, pins, and sprays.
The update will feature 8 new hypercharges. Some will be especially challenging to implement, like Finx’s hypercharge: he will create an additional vortex that moves with him — not an easy task. Another interesting hypercharge will be for Larry and Laurie — it summons an additional bot. And Juju will also get an extra unit: with her hypercharge, she will summon Gri-Gri with greater power. To implement these hypercharges, the Null’s team has to do a lot of work, almost as much as adapting a brand-new brawler to our battle logic. But most of the tasks have already been completed, so you don’t need to worry about the upcoming update — fortunately, we managed to study most of the code in advance.
Ziggy – a new mythic brawler
A new mythic brawler will appear on the server, and we’ll briefly describe his implementation, as this fighter is very interesting and has an unusual combat mechanic.
We set up Ziggy’s lightning to work as a delayed AoE strike with server-side delay and client prediction, and turned his Super into a moving storm area that slows when hitting enemies but correctly slides along walls. We added a light pull impulse, movement caps, and batched damage processing to maintain stability. As a result, the character feels fair and predictable for players, and all parameters are conveniently configurable.
Mina – another mythic brawler
Mina is a mythic brawler in b-girl style from Brazil who blends capoeira with dance, is connected to Ollie and his trio, and stands out with a bright look, rhythm, and assertive mobility. We implemented Mina’s attack as a three-hit combo with different arcs: the server tracks the “combo bar” and resets the chain on pause, while client prediction smooths latency and keeps the rhythm. Her Super is a forward-moving vortex that deals damage, lifts enemies, and slightly pulls them forward, sliding correctly along walls without passing through blocks. As a result, the mechanic feels dynamic and aggressive, yet still predictable and fair for players.
